Recipients of this award will have increased our understanding of artists’ and cultural materials, improved upon IR or Raman spectroscopic methodologies or enhanced teaching and learning of these techniques.

The award is presented at IRUG biennial conferences. Nominations may be made in writing to the Board of Directors at least two months prior to a conference. Each nominee should be identified by affiliation with a description of their major achievements or other evidence of commitment to the advancement of IR and Raman techniques in the field. The Board has sole discretion in selecting recipients.
